Watch Sheridan Smith In New Trailer For The C Word

The trailer has been released for Cilla star Sheridan Smith’s new drama The C Word.

Smith will star as Lisa Lynch, who documented her battle with breast cancer in the novel The C Word, which the new drama is based on. Unfortunately, Lynch passed away during production of the new series, though she helped choose Smith for the leading role.

Smith won acclaims for her portrayal of national treasure Cilla Black in recent mini-series Cilla on ITV, for which she has been nominated for BAFTA Award for Best Actress. She previously won a BAFTA for Best Actress for her role in Mrs Biggs in 2013.

The C Word will air later this year on BBC One.
