TOWIE’s Megan McKenna is going to be on the West End
The Only Way Is Essex‘s Megan McKenna will be making her first singing debut on the West End for the dance show One More Dance.
Being on the stage has been a long term dream for former Ex on the Beach star Megan McKenna, who even auditioned for both Britain’s Got Talent and the X Factor before she established herself as a big name on reality television.
The Essex girl may not have gotten very far on those ITV talent shows but now it looks as though it’s finally Megan’s time to shine as she has landed herself a role in a West End dance show.
Megan has been chosen to star in One More Dance at The Adelphi Theatre in London next month; a stage show put together by former Strictly Come Dancing professional Kristina Rihanoff and Dancing With The Stars‘ Gleb Savchenko. Kristina reached out to Megan after hearing her sing when they both appeared alongside one another on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.
The show aims to introduce audiences to a wide spectrum of dance, both traditional and contemporary, and will include styles such as ballroom, ballet, modern, tap and jazz.
Megan posted about her first West End performance on Instagram, captioning her picture: “So excited to be making my first ever West End debut singing in @glebsavchenkoofficial & @krihanoff show @onemoredancelondon on 11th December! To get tickets book here – onemoredance.london”.
Megan told OK! magazine how she jumped at the opportunity when approached about performing: “I was absolutely thrilled to be asked by Gleb Savchenko and Kristina Rihanoff to sing in their West End stage show.
“I didn’t have to think twice. They are absolutely world class dancers and it was special to hear them tell me how much they love my voice.”
Megan added: “Kristina first heard me sing when we were both housemates in the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier this year and we said then that we hoped to work together someday. I’ve known Gleb for quite a while too and we have talked about him appearing in a music video with me which I would love to see happen!”
It looks like this latest venture only tops off what has already been a pretty successful year in terms of television for the Essex star.
Good luck, Megan!
