“The lovely @idinamenzel will appear on the show on another date. We will NOT be on air today due to the tragic fire at #GrenfellTower.”
News is still unfolding in regards to the tragedy but at present six people have been confirmed dead after the huge fire engulfed a west London tower block last night. Police have said they expect that number to rise.
Eyewitnesses have given their accounts, describing people trapped in the north Kensington building as screaming for help and yelling for their children to be saved.
Firefighters rescued “large numbers”, although London Mayor Sadiq Khan said “a lot” of people were unaccounted for.
The 24-storey block is currently still on fire and looks at risk of collapsing.
Loose Women will continue tomorrow at 12:30pm on ITV.
