The Apprentice 2015: The Candidates Revealed
Better set your alarms for 9pm on Wednesday, October 14th at 9pm. That’s right, The Apprentice is back.
Eighteen hopefuls will go up against each other this autumn, each vying for a business deal from Lord Sugar worth £250,000. Ranging from a 21-year-old who cites Taylor Swift as her business idol to a marine engineer who prides himself on having “no negative traits”, the eighteen business-savvy candidates are bound to entertain.
Take April Jackson for example; a 26-year-old former Miss Jamaica Universe who has set up an events management company and a children’s charity in the past, and now owns a successful Jamaican boutique.
Say hello to ready-made businessman Richard Woods, 31, who owns four profit-making companies and only regrets not becoming a millionaire before his 30th birthday.
Sam Curry, 23, might be in for a shock when he comes up against the Lord – he describes himself as “happy-go-lucky”, works as a private tutor and enjoys acting as a hobby. He also cites Richard Branson as his idol as he agrees that you don’t need to be cruel to run a good business.
An exciting change to the show is the promotion of Claude Littner from interviewer to Lord Sugar’s right-hand man alongside Baroness Karren Brady. Regular viewers will remember Littner ruthlessly pulling apart Solomon’s business plan on last year’s show. Will he be bringing that unrelenting attitude to the boardroom this year? Let’s hope so.
