Pregnant Ferne McCann returns to TV to talk childbirth on Sam Faiers: The Mummy Diaries
Ferne McCann made a TV appearance on Sam Faires: The Mummy Diaries last night, following the news of her pregnancy with Arthur Collins’ baby.
The former TOWIE star confirmed she was pregnant this week with her ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins. Her spokesperson confirmed to OK! Online: “Ferne is grateful for the sympathetic way news of her pregnancy has been covered and people’s support and obviously her first concern is for her child’s health.”
Fans have not heard much from Ferne herself since the shocking news of her ex-boyfriend’s arrest, with the star staying absent from social media and television. However, the 26-year-old finally made a return to TV last night in what seemed like a particularly timely appearance on The Mummy Diaries.
Obviously filmed before all the recent revelations, Ferne reunited with her TOWIE pals for Billie Faires’ baby shower. Catching up with Billie and Sam, Ferne had an especially in depth conversation about child birth and the anatomy of the vagina.
Ferne gave the girls some pearls of wisdom, remarking: “The vagina… it literally just springs back!”
The scene then cut to Billie talking to the camera about Ferne, as she said: “Obviously she hasn’t given birth yet, but she knows a lot about it already.”
The news of Ferne’s pregnancy arrived shortly after the father-to-be’s recent arrest. Arthur was arrested and charged with 14 counts of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and one count of throwing corrosive fluid on a person with intent to do grievous bodily harm in connection with the acid attack in London nightspot Mangle on 17 April. The This Morning presenter has sent out her sympathies to the victims of the attack, two of whom have been left blind in one eye.
Ferne’s statement continued: “Accordingly she does not wish to discuss the pregnancy further given the early stage it is at and the immense strain that Ferne is currently under.
“Nor does she wish to discuss her ex-boyfriend who she does not recognise from the events of the last week.”
The representative continued: “Ferne is in no way seeking sympathy for her situation and is determined to do all she can to have a happy and heathy child and face the challenges of being a single parent with all her energy.”
Sam Faires: The Mummy Diaries continues Wednesday at 9pm on ITVBe.
