Netflix unleashes trailer for Aziz Ansari’s Master of None
Stand-up comic and Parks and Recreation star Aziz Ansari is back, with his highly anticipated new Netflix original series, Master of None.
Co-written, directed by and starring Ansari, Master of None is a loosely auto-biographical exploration of Dev (Ansari)’s 30s, as he navigates sex, relationships, racism and food in the city of New York. It’s basically a dramatisation of one of his stand-up shows, meaning we know it will be hilarious, thoughtful, and maybe even a little bit heartfelt.
If you’re keen to learn more of what this guy’s about, check out one of his standup specials (his most recent, Buried Alive and Live at Madison Square Garden, are among those currently streaming on Netflix, and are well worth a watch).
For fans of intelligent sitcoms such as Louie and Girls, the first 10-episode series of Master of None has been co-created and co-written by Alan Yang (Parks and Recreation), and is executive produced by Ansari and Yang, along with Michael Schur, Dave Becky, and David Miner.
Master of None launches November 6th on Netflix.
