Netflix reveals release date for Orange Is The New Black season 5
Netflix has unveiled the official release date for the next series of Orange Is The New Black.
Everyone is anticipating the return of the Netflix original series this summer, but now the streaming site has announced an actual release date for us to look forward to.

Season 5 will be available to view from Friday 9th June, meaning we have just four months of agony to endure until the all-new episodes arrive.
Fans are itching more than ever for this new series after being left with the cliff hanger of the century at the end of season 4.
Last year’s season finale saw the Litchfield inmates rise up and take revenge after the manslaughter of Poussey was kept under wraps (has anyone else still not recovered from that?).
Despaired and enraged, the inmates took over the prison in the last scene, with Taystee leading a charge of attack and Daya pointing a gun at Thomas Humphrey’s head.
We will have to wait until June to find out how this rebellion ends, but Taystee actress Danielle Brooks was able to give fans a small teaser about the upcoming season.
She explained how the whole of the new series will take place over just three days, promising: “It will be very detailed, very intense. You better get ready, get your popcorn, your tissues.”
OITNB picked up the Best Comedy Ensemble award for the third year running at the SAG Awards last month.
You can watch Taylor Schilling’s acceptance speech below, in which she commended the show’s diversity and representation.
Orange Is The New Black season 5 will return June 9 on Netflix.
