Megan McKenna admits she’s “so nervous” to strip off for The Real Full Monty
Megan McKenna has confessed she is nervous to bare all for The Real Full Monty after receiving nasty comments about her body online.
The former TOWIE star will strip off for charity this week, alongside other famous faces Coleen Nolan, James Argent, Jeff Brazier, Michelle Heaton, Ainsley Harriot and Victoria Derbyshire.
Speaking ahead of the live striptease, Megan admitted to being apprehensive about the performance.
“My fans can be really harsh and the amount of trolling I get is a nightmare,” she told The Sun.
“I’ve been told I have the body of a 10-year-old boy, which is nasty and spiteful. People say things like, ‘This girl has such small tits, she should get a boob job.’
“About a year ago, a young boy managed to get hold of my phone number and he called up when I was home alone and started shouting ‘pancake tits’ over and over again.
“These trolls are sad people and I’d never want to be them but at the same time I’m only human and it does bother me.
“I know I will be shaking with fear when we film but the other girls have been great and we’ve all been supporting each other.”
Megan continued: “Getting naked in public is one of my biggest fears so I can’t believe I am going through with this.
“I’ve been worrying about it every day. Ever since I signed up it has been the first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning.
“The ‘intimate rehearsal’ in front of my friends and family was supposed to boost my confidence but actually did the opposite — I was absolutely sh*tting myself.”
The Real Full Monty airs Wednesday (March 28) and Thursday (March 29) at 9pm on ITV.
