Maisie Williams Talks Upcoming Doctor Who Role
Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has spoken about her upcoming role on Doctor Who.
The 17-year-old actress, who plays Arya Stark in the hit fantasy series, is apparently not yet tired of endless comic conventions and has signed up for a role in the classic sci-fi series.
She will speak to Alan Carr on Chatty Man tonight about her upcoming role, and what it was like to join the Doctor Who cast.
She teased that her character could be either a “goodie” or “baddie” but refused to answer speculation that her character is a younger version of current assistant Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman). She did confirm, however, that her character will test the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) in her upcoming episode.
Williams also praised the set of Doctor Who, calling it “wonderful.” She said, “Everyone is so accommodating and lovely and happy to have me. There’s no rivalry that I thought there would be – ‘You’re from Game of Thrones‘ and I’m like, ‘You’re from Doctor Who‘. They’re really lovely.”
