Love Island’s Tom Powell and Malin Andersson are dating
Love Island‘s Tom Powell has confirmed a romance with his former co-star Malin Andersson.
Tom and Malin both appeared on the ITV2 series last year, although they never coupled up on the show. Tom instead partnered up with Sophie Gradon, and continued a relationship outside of the villa before blasting their messy split over social media at the end of last year. Meanwhile, Malin was linked to Terry Walsh (until he ditched her for Emma-Jane Woodhams, that is!).
However, somehow their paths have met once again as Tom and Malin are now giving things a go.
Tom addressed their budding romance in a recent interview with the Daily Star. He said: “It’s somewhere in between being friends and a relationship.
“Nothing is official…I don’t even know what it is to be honest with you.”
He continued: “Me and Malin have always kept in touch since the show – I speak to her on a regular basis.
“I’ve told her this, honest to God I fancied Malin the most.”
However, Tom’s ex Emma-Jane Woodhams was shocked by the news, especially after Malin criticised her for hooking up with Terry after she left Love Island.
“I think those two dating is absolutely hilarious,” she told the Daily Star. “The amount of times Malin called me out for having her ‘sloppy seconds’ and she has now gone after mine…could you contradict yourself any more?”
She added: “I am amazed at her, I really thought that she had more about her than to do something like that.”
Terry and Emma confirmed their break-up via Twitter in February, after being together for just eight months.
Terry took to social media to announce the news, assuring fans that the pair are still friends.
He wrote: “For people asking me or who it concerns me n Em have broken up. We’re still friends. One chapter closes another must open”
