Katy Perry confirmed to perform at the Brit Awards 2017
It has been confirmed that Katy Perry will be performing at the Brit Awards next week.
That’s right, Katy Perry is going to be making her first UK television comeback after three years to perform at the Brit Awards 2017.
Katy finally dropped a new single last week named “Chained to the Rhythm” and now she will be gracing the stage at the O2 Arena in London, alongside other big names Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Little Mix, Skepta, The 1975 and Emeli Sandé.
Katy, who won her own Brit for International Female Solo Artist in 2009, continued: “After three years, I’m excited to return to the Brits stage to kick off a new era of purposeful pop.”
Brits chairman Jason Iley has also expressed his excitement about the special Perry performance. He said: “Perry is the perfect artist to complete our incredible 2017 line-up.”
He added: “She’s a global superstar who will bring even more glamour, fun and excitement with her exclusive UK Brits performance next week.”
Last month it was announced that X Factor host Dermot O’Leary and presenter of Big Brother and The Voice Emma Willis will be joining forces to help celebrate the best of British music. This marks the first time since 2009 that the event has had multiple hosts.
Emma said: “I am delighted to be asked back for the main event. To present the Brits is an honour but to be doing it alongside one of my absolute favourites, Mr Dermot O’Leary, is just bonkers.”
The BRIT Awards airs live on Wednesday 22nd February on ITV.
