Back From The Dead? Another Deceased Game Of Thrones Character on Set
Another Game of Thrones character that had previously been killed off has made a re-appearance on set during filming for the upcoming series.
Sandor Clegane aka The Hound appeared to die an unceremonious death on the side of a hill in Game of Thrones season 4, wounded following a bitter duel with Brienne of Tarth. And while Arya Stark may have refused to help him nor put him out of his misery, with there being no medical aide around, his death was never actually seen.
It’s interesting then, that actor Rory McCann was spotted at a hotel in Belfast often used by HBO and Game of Thrones cast members during filming this week, according to Watchers on the Wall. It’s worth noting that McCann doesn’t appear to have any other projects lined up right now, and there is no obvious reason for him to be in Belfast (the show’s base) outside of Game of Thrones business. So could he be coming back from the dead?
Further speculation suggests he could be filming a funeral scene (though he ‘died’ in the middle of nowhere and with no real allies left), just visiting the cast, or maybe he really is back.
In other Game of Thrones news, Natalie Tena (Osha) and Art Parkinson (Rickon) have also been spotted in Belfast, with most notably (and controversially) Kit Harrington making a special appearance too.
Is all as it seems in Westeros? It appears not.
Game of Thrones season 6 is expected to hit screens from April 2016
