Buffy’s Emma Caulfield cast in Fear The Walking Dead
Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s Emma Caulfield has been cast in Walking Dead spin-off Fear The Walking Dead.
The news comes courtesy of TVLine, who said network AMC confirmed to them the casting but refused to reveal the identity of the character or how long Caulfield would be appearing in the role. The lack of information about the character has led to some fans and news sources speculating she could be playing a female villain in the series.
Caulfield is best known for her role as Anya in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, a vengeance demon who lost her powers and eventually shacked up with Buffy’s friend Xander. She struggled with adapting to being human, her phobia of bunnies and – eventually – her relationship issues with Xander.
Fear The Walking Dead airs in The Walking Dead‘s off-season, so it will be a while before we can expect to see Caulfield in action.
The recent second season ended in October in a thrilling finale that saw the death of regular Chris after making the wrong decision about who to follow. His ex-girlfriend Ofelia then put her life at risk in an attempt to find him.
