Alan Carr to host Americana-themed “Prom Night Live” on Channel 4
Alan Carr is set to host an epic summer extravaganza entitled Prom Night Live next month on Channel 4.
Celebrating all things 1950s Americana the show will see a British school transformed for the night to host the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll, high school prom. Those who instantly think of Grease’s Rydell High will be pleased to know that the classic musical film will be showing straight after Prom Night Live.
The Grease-inspired summer spectacular will feature live musical performances, surprise guests and a look back at fashion trends and fads from the rock ‘n’ roll era. Two revellers will even be crowned Prom King and Queen at the prom event.
Channel 4 have teamed up with Monkey to bring us this fantastic musical event. Monkey are the team behind award-winning shows like Made in Chelsea, TFI Friday and Real Housewives of Cheshire.
Of his hosting duties, Alan Carr has said: “I love Grease, so I cannot wait to step inside the 1950s for Prom Night Live. This must make me Northampton’s answer to Vince Fontaine.”
Prom Night Live is expected to air in July 2016.
